The "Garçon, la note!" ("Waiter, the bill!") Festival is striking up a tempo in the Burgundy region of France

In Dijon, Auxerre, Cosne-sur-Loire, Autun, Nevers and Sens... From 1st July to 31st August, local and national bands are electrifying dance floors and restaurant patios throughout.

Burgundy.... This region is known for its world-famous wines, but it's also the perfect place for unwinding with some drinks or nibbles on outdoor patio after an invigorating bike ride. And what could be better than enjoying some live music at the same time? That's where the "Garçon, la note!" festival comes in!

Organised by the Burgundy tourism boards, this event was founded in Auxerre 14 years ago and now takes place in four different departments in Burgundy. Throughout the summer, dozens of local and national bands take to stages on restaurant and café patios in various city centres. What's on the programme? One location, one evening, one free concert in each city. Jazz, blues, rock, funk, reggae, French variety or international.... The programmers have worked hard to offer a variety of musical styles from every genre, allowing every kind of music lover to take part in all the festivities without ever running out of concerts to see.

As for the artists themselves, this festival is now recognised by agents as a springboard for success and a large number of them contact the organisers of the "Garçon, la note!" Festival every year in an attempt to get their bands on the bill. Spectators, tourists and local residents will easily be won over by this unique, eclectic music scene.
